Could an AI assistant understand what your company sells and help a customer assess whether it is a suitable choice?

That is a useful commercial test. It asks whether the offer is expressed clearly enough for someone outside the organisation to interpret, compare and trust it.

Five questions to investigate

  • Can the offer be understood precisely?
  • Are the customers and use cases it serves clear?
  • Is its difference from credible alternatives supported by evidence?
  • Can a buyer find the scope, limitations and implementation information needed for a decision?
  • Can the enquiry process preserve the customer’s requirements and questions?

Start with the gaps you can demonstrate

Use a real buying scenario and record the sources, missing information and unsupported assumptions. An attractive generated answer is not evidence that the commercial journey works.

Some gaps will require clearer content. Others may concern the offer itself, internal ownership or how the organisation responds to an enquiry. Establish the commercial consequence before selecting technology.
